Oooh, Teavana.  Sure, I’d heard of them.  I’d look online at the different teas and gadgets and drool.  At the time I found them I wasn’t too sure about loose leaf tea.  Sure, I bought just about a million of those boxes of tea from the grocery store, just about any flavor you can think of.  Ooh, boy.  Was I wrong. You see, I don’t have a local Teavana store.  In fact, according to the website, there’s not a Teavana store in my whole STATE.  Boonies…I live there.

Anywhoo, after my last purchase from Teavana, I’m in love.

Besides all of the tea I purchased, I purchased myself one of these tumblers, in red.  After two days of use, it looked WRECKED.  I don’t know what happened to it, still.  It was hand washed with a sponge after each use, so it shouldn’t have looked like it was 4 years old already. I went to twitter to ask the Teavana person a question about it, and wouldn’t you know it? After just a few minutes, they fixed me up right as rain.  They didn’t yell at me, or accuse me of being rough with the tumbler, they just set everything straight – I had an answer in less than 12 hours. Awesome.

Screaming,”10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 99, 100, 150..” Ad nauseam.

“Stop with the yelling, please?”

“Stop kicking the walls.”

“WHAT DID THEY FEED YOU EAT FOR LUNCH!?”

Okay, a couple of those were me..I bet you didn’t know that, did ya?

I think it’s just been one of those days.  Its been overcast for a week straight,  and Cinderella hasn’t been able to go outside both here at home and at school because of the weather, so she’s getting cabin fever.  Also, she’s turned into a SMART ASS.

I wonder where she got that from. *ahem* The funny thing is that she doesn’t really know she’s being a smart ass.  Just being honest with her answers.  (Doesn’t make it any better, but still..just thought I’d mention it.)

Ever since I started to notice it I’ve been trying to watch myself, and correct her whenever I can lately.  It just freaks me out just how much this kid picks up.   I know, I know…people say that all the time. “Little pitchers have big ears” and all of that.  You just don’t really know how to deal with that until you live through it.  Much like when said kid throws a tantrum in public for the first time and you look at her like,”Who the hell are you and what have you done with my normal calm kid?” Not that I’d know anything about that…*shifty eyes*

I think the moral of this post is, Cinderella is growing up and I’m freaking the hell out. *snicker*

I didn’t set out to ignore my blog for all of these months, to tell you the truth.  It just sort of happened.  Summer arrived and we tried to make the most of it.  Cinderella’s at that age where she can voice her opinions (whether you like them or not!), and it made for an interesting summer, to say the least!

There were deaths in the family.  That’s all I’ll get into.  That’s all my heart can handle pretty much.

But, I’ve thought of you, sweet blog, almost daily.

Dear Woman Who Sat in front of us at the theater,

Hi! While I know complaining loudly in an theater about how packed the seats were didn’t really win you any fans, I saw you looking at the seats in front of my husband and I. I could feel we had a connection. Let me just say, the glaring light from your cell phone throughout the picture, was entertaining! There’s nothing quite like having a sharp pain in the corner of your eyes every five minutes because the person who sits in front of you had to text! Thanks for that!

Ahhh! What is that fragrance I inhaled? I smelled something so awesome right when I opened my mouth to shove popcorn in..Thank you! Something along the lines of armpits and vanilla. While I loathe anything vanilla related to begin with, thank you for making it just that much more special! 

Thank you ma’am (See I said ma’am, even!) for teaching me my mother was always right. You bathe daily, you wear clean underwear daily, and you do not for the love of all that is holy, drown yourself in perfume.

P.S.  Momma always taught me to get rid of the evidence as well…

Well, I’ve finally done it.  I’ve actually spent money and bought an DSLR. I have been putting it off for so long, I was pretty sure I was never going to get one. That, and the fact that the Prince wouldn’t buy anything USED.  Yeah, he was my last hurdle. I finally convinced him,  if I sucked, then what use was it to get a 3K camera?$200 bucks baby. I’m the queen of bargains. *snicker*

Okay, so can I just gush? I LOVE this camera.  Sure, it’s older than hell… but  its something for me to learn on.

BELIEVE me, I have shit to learn. (Yeah, I cussed. Big Whoop. You wanna fight about it?)  If you have any suggestions, or know where I can get cheap used supplies..give me a hollar. evilstepmommy at gmail dot com.

P.S. And when I mean help? I mean, extremely layman terms, because really, I’ve only gotten  serious about this within the last couple of weeks. Yeah.  NOOB, BABY!

What you see there is the little surprise that was waiting for me when I left my house the other day to go and pay a bill. (Oh, yay! BILLS!)  I don’t own these tiny pups.. okay, I’m not sure if they were pups, they didn’t look like it, but they were small. Someone tied these two  dogs together and then if that wasn’t enough, they then tied them to a bush in MY backyard.

Yeah, why don’t I let that marinate for a second.

Let me just say that again: Someone went on my property, while my husband was at work, and tied two dogs together and then to a bush and just left them. No food.  No water. Just..left them. I live in the desert people, that was was easily 85 degrees. While that doesn’t seem like much to you or me, YOU go sit outside wrapped up in a cable wire with nothing to drink and see how hot you feel.

Okay, maybe I got more freaked out because I live in the ghetto. 

While I did hear them, I went on thinking it was just my neighbors..they just got a new dog! Or maybe it was one of the 2426 strays that roam my neighborhood!  Not this.  This just made me do the puppy “what the hell is happening” head tilt.

Cinderella was the first out the door and half way down the steps..and she points.

Me:”What?? Why’d you stop??”  Okay, I’m sharp. Don’t judge me.

Cinderella:”When did we get dogs?”

Yeah, head tilt.

Poor pups..  I tried to get them untangled at least, but with a four year old, it wasn’t going to happen. They promptly tried to eat my eyeballs, all with a grin on their face, I’m sure.  Cinderella wouldn’t have minded much, as long as she could PET! THE! PUPPIES!!!!!! (Think on the IT’S SO FURRY! moment in Megamind. That’s my girl. Damn, I love that show. Have you seen it? You totally should…ooh, SHINY! *Ahem*)

I ended up having to deal with Animal Control. Animal control out here in the ghetto isn’t an exactly easy thing to accomplish..but after about three and a half hours of phone calls and waiting.. the pups were rescued. Is it weird I still worry about them? Its been 24 hours.  :sigh:
